Description: Morton Lake Provincial Park includes all of Morton Lake and a section of the shoreline on neighboring Mohun Lake. Canoeing and kayaking is a popular activity in the park and Mohun Lake provides access to the Sayward Canoe Route; which is a 47-kilometer paddle and portage circuit. Camping is situated right next to the lake.

Things to Do:

Beach - A nice sandy beach. There are plenty of sticklebacks and freshwater clams for kids to search for.

Boating - Canoeing and kayaking is a popular activity on both Morton and Mohun Lakes. Mohun Lake provides access to the Sayward Canoe Route – a 47-km paddle and portage circuit. There is no boat launch at Morton Lake but launching of small car-top boats and canoes can be done at Mohun Lake. A natural ramp is available for trailered boats on Mohun.

Fishing - From April to June and from September to October, lake fishing for Dolly Varden, rainbow & cutthroat trout on Mohun Lake can be excellent.

Hiking - A trail leads from the campground across from campsites 7 and 8 to Andrew Lake, approximately 30 minutes away

Sayward Forest Canoe Route - The Sayward Forest Canoe Route encompasses 11 lakes and takes 4 to 6 days to complete, covering a distance of 50 km. Suitable for the whole family, this route has numerous camping spots along the way and most are easily accessible by both water and road. Map of Route & Campsites

Swimming - The beach is perfect for swimming. The shallow lake makes for warm water and sandy bottom is excellent for young children.
